Please review the responsibilities and needed qualifications below and apply today! Boise Cascade has an exciting opening for an Accounting Technician! Responsibilities Perform general accounting and financial analysis activities, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of ledger accounts, preparation of financial statements, reports and schedules.
Prepare, complete, analyze and report accounting transactions and system maintenance ensuring integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles including ERISA and SEC requirement where applicable.
Provide financial support to the business including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget.
Maintain strong working relationships with customers.
Conduct financial, business analyses and modeling using forecasts, financial statements, and other business inputs to assess risk, improvement opportunities and potential costs and/or benefits.
Focus of responsibilities may be to perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, credit and collection, sales rebate duties.
Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Basic
Qualifications:
HS Diploma, GED, or two (2) years equivalent work experience.
Normal office environment with minimal physical exertion.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Typically more than three (3) years of experience in related job function.
Role may require technical certification or associates degree.
Requires effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills and proficient computer skills.
